Natural8 Opens Two Roads to the APT Championship — Only 16 Make the Final Tables

Natural8 is running exclusive qualifier routes for the APT Championship in Taipei, with separate promotions for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Each country will send eight finalists via Mega Satellites to live Sit & Go finals, all receiving US$500 travel allowances.

There are more than enough of ways to reach the APT Championship in Taipei this year, although we'd argue few are currently batter than than the two Main Event routes just announced on Natural8.

The online room has opened two separate promotions for players from Taiwan and Hong Kong, with each country sending just eight qualifiers into its own live Sit & Go final during the November festival.

The routes themselves are not identical, though. Hong Kong players have four Mega Satellites to work with, while Taiwan has six plus an additional lower-priced satellite ladder beginning on October 20.

Hong Kong Has Four Chances to Find Its Final Eight

The N8HK x APT Championship promotion is restricted to Hong Kong with just four HK$1,200 Mega Satellites to decide who travels to Taipei.

They run on October 24, October 25, October 30 and November 1, all beginning at 8 p.m. (HKT). Each of the satellites guarantees two seats, altogether producing exactly eight finalists.

After all the Mega Satellite cards have been played, the eight qualifiers meet again, this time in person at APT Championship Taipei on November 20, where the promotion switches from an online qualifier into an eight-handed live Sit & Go.

There is HK$386,573 guaranteed across the Hong Kong satellites, with each qualifier receiving the US$500 travel allowance for reaching the live stage. The live final then determines how the remaining prizes are divided, including APT Championship Main Event and Trophy Event seats.

The live winner gets the largest package, valued at HK$102,050, and that includes a seat in the APT Championship Main Event.

Taiwan Gets Six Mega Satellites — and a Cheaper Starting Point

Natural8's Taiwan-exclusive route follows the same idea, although with a few more opportunities to qualify before the live final.

The N8TW x APT Championship promotion has six NT$2,880 Mega Satellites scheduled between October 24 and November 8. The first four award one live-final seat apiece, while the November 7 and November 8 tournaments each guarantee two, completing the eight-player line-up.

For Taiwan, Natural8 is also running NT$300 satellites from October 20, opening a lower-cost route into those Mega Satellites.

The eight Taiwan qualifiers return on November 19 for their live Sit & Go in Taipei, one day before the Hong Kong finalists play theirs.

The Taiwan promotion carries NT$1,552,000 in total guarantees, including NT$232,000 in cash prizes and US$500 travel allowances for all eight finalists. The payouts stretch beyond the Main Event itself, with seats into other APT Championship tournaments used further down the standings.

First place is worth NT$416,000 in total. That package combines the NT$320,000 APT Championship Main Event seat, NT$80,000 in additional value and the NT$16,000 equivalent travel allowance.

The Final Stop Is the APT Championship in Taipei

These two country-exclusive finals land in the middle of a much larger end-of-year festival.

The APT Championship Taipei runs from November 13 to 29 at Red Space, with 17 days of poker and more than 200 events on the current schedule. At the center is what all the qualifers will be playing for, the $10,000 APT Championship Main Event, which carries a $5 million guarantee.
