Jeremy Chan claimed the APT Super High Roller 8-Max title at APT Incheon 2026, earning a career-best $179,650 including an APT Championship seat. The Malaysian defeated Michel Molenaar after previously finishing runner-up in the same event a year earlier.
The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Incheon 2026 festival is gathering momentum at Paradise City Casino, with four of its 10 scheduled days completed.
While plenty of action has already unfolded, Malaysia's Jeremy Chan has secured the festival's largest individual prize so far after winning the APT Super High Roller 8-Max.
The victory represents a significant milestone in Chan's live tournament career. According to his Hendon Mob profile, Chan entered the event with almost $850,000 in recorded live tournament cashes across 66 results.
Despite his consistent performances, his only previous tournament victory came in a £250 buy-in event in London in July 2023, where he collected £12,430.
Chan's consistency has been evident throughout recent years. Between April 2023 and August 2026, he reached 26 live tournament final tables.
However, turning those deep runs into titles proved difficult, with five of those appearances ending in second-place finishes.
One of those runner-up results came in this same tournament almost exactly 12 months earlier. During the previous edition of the APT Super High Roller, Chan finished second after losing the heads-up battle to Michael Foo.
This year's championship presented another demanding final hurdle. Chan once again found himself playing heads-up, this time against Dutch player Michel Molenaar.
Unlike the previous year, Chan converted the opportunity into victory, defeating Molenaar to capture his first major live tournament title.
The triumph earned Chan a career-best prize worth $179,650 when including the $10,000 APT Championship seat awarded to the tournament champion by the APT.
The APT Super High Roller 8-Max attracted 58 entries, with each player paying a KRW 15 million buy-in, approximately $10,700.
Those entries created a total prize pool of KRW 801,705,000, equivalent to $575,525, with the prize package also including a $10,000 seat to the APT Championship scheduled for later this year.
With four days of the APT Incheon 2026 festival completed, Chan's Super High Roller triumph currently stands as the biggest single payout awarded at the series.
The victory also marks the end of a lengthy wait for another title after years of consistent deep tournament runs and multiple runner-up finishes.
